The five faces of the smile
How important is to maintain a healthy mouth, but at the same time if we have all teeth aligned correctly, without lack of dental pieces and a correct occlusion between the dental arches, we could realize all functions that involve this organ, since mastication, communication, esthetics and could be able to demonstrate our love in a kiss.
A damaged mouth make difficult to pronounce correctly and word formation, we can prove this when someone lacking teeth talks to us (edentulous), the difficulty that they have to express themselves and us to understand them, adding the partial loss of teeth or their wrong collocation could produce an over pronunciation of letter s or even to have saliva particle escapes with the disagreeable effect that they cause.
The same way the total or partial lack of teeth make difficult or could impede the adequate nourishments mastication, key process and primary for an adequate absorption and digestion. It is not rare that patients that present dental alterations of lack or wrong-positioning of teeth, present difficulties in mastication, what it is traduced in nourishments absorption problems and/or digestion. How beautiful! How good looking! We think when we see someone, but in the instant the he or she smiles or opens the mouth their image could disappoint us or at least change that pleasant initial impression that we had formed about that person. The deterioration or lack of teeth principally in the anterior sector, damages decisively the dental and facial esthetic, which could make someone look older or give him/her a less harmonious aspect, and in many occasions could influence the personal acceptance that could drive to a self-esteem lowering.
And at last, but not least, it makes reference to the emotional aspect, the one that has to be with our emotions expression to the loved person through a kiss, because at the same time is a beautiful experience, we need to know that the intimate contact that is produced during a kiss, can be at the same time a source of microorganisms and pathologies oral transmissions that could generate pathologies and diseases of oral transmission. Finally, make the last and quick reference to the uncomfortable halitosis (bad breath), many times produces by oral/digestive problems.
